This photo was taken at the top of Mt.Nam which is in Seoul.
Top part is '강남(Gangnam)', full of skyscrapers. But when we see bottom part of this picture, we can't find even one skyscraper. Yes, we call this area '강북(Gangbuk)'.
This photo shows us that how much differences exists between them.
There exists past, present and future in the same time. Someone cut the pictures of past, present and future of this scene(I don't know the name of this place) and combine exquisitely.
In 2002, Korea held the 2002 FIFA World cup. It was the first world cup which was held in our country. So our people ran out into the street then watch and support our games. I was 13 at that time so I couldn't drink at all. It was the only sad thing in that season.
Ji Sung Park and Young Pyo Lee, two legends soccer player of Korea was holding hands in the game. It touched my heart because it was taken just after the situation that Lee did error so Park intercepted and passed it to his teammate to make a goal. Even though they competed each other in the game, they still kept their friendship.

The first and second photos make a lot of thoughts for me. I think the first photo also can show us present and past scene, not a composite picture.
ReplyDeleteI remember the first world cup in Korea. Although i was a kid, i was really shocked about millions of people gathered. Everytime and everywhere, there were parties held.
I'm really impressed when I saw so second picture. It is surprising that three parts are continous and it makes me remind the places I've lived.
ReplyDeleteI also remember the excitement of 2002. Maybe that year was my first experience about unity of every Korean. Sometime I think about the excitement of that year.
